Buying used furniture means that you can get a look with more character than you could otherwise afford. If we take a second hand armchair for example, you can pick up a really good quality one that is comfortable and looks great for the same price as one of those cheap looking chairs from a flat pack company. One other reason that some people are buying second hand furniture is that it can be good for the environment. New furniture requires trees to be chopped down for wood. Also, if no-buys second hand furniture then it will head to landfill sites which are ever increasing and could have been used for more environmentally friendly projects.

You can find second hand furniture in many places. There are some good 2nd hand furniture stores all over the place but do not confuse these with antique stores as these are far more expensive. Many garage sales or boot fairs will offer bargains amongst the stuff that is unsellable. You can also view the classified adverts on the internet or local newspapers.
